"Are these Birthstones Just Another Superstition?"

Wonder why these 4000 years Birthstones still entice you?

How did these stones come? Who assigned the birth and zodiac stones?

How should you wear your stones to enhance luck?

That’s quite a handful of questions to handle, isn’t it?

Well, I will answer these questions later.

For now, take a close look at the list of traditional and modern birth stones.

Both lists look rather similar, isn't it? The exceptions are March, June, July, August and September.

Probably you have also seen a different list. Don’t be puzzled.

Across the centuries, different nations developed their own birthstone charts.

You can find one for the Roman, Hebrew, Arab, Hindus and Polish. But I regard The Polish’s list as the truly original traditional birthstones chart.

Why?

From my research, they started the tradition of wearing stones. And they have been carrying them as amulets for more than 4000 years.

However, there are historical record claiming Aaron (the brother of Moses) to be the true originator of the birth stones. Do you remember the twelve gemstones on his Breastplate?

How did these stones come about?

Ancient healers or priests did not have sophisticated tools. Instead they relied heavily on their 5 senses for judgment.

They discovered a change in the energy level of these stones during different month of the year. The stones were then assigned accordingly to the month when the energy level heightened. You can say that the stones are most powerful during the representing month.

The assignment of stones for the zodiac chart was more complex. The ancient astrologers linked the energy level of the stones to the celestial position of the planets and zodiac. This was on top of the period when the energy of the stone was strongest. Nonetheless you can find similarities between the charts.

Here’s the Zodiac Birthstones Chart:

I will let you in to a little ancient secret about zodiac stones...

Inscribing the symbol of the ruling planet onto the stone apparently enhances the energy level further. You can still find such practice in modern days.

They are popular largely because they make excellent jewelry at an affordable price. Probably you also know that the energy of the stone concentrates and strengthens the personal energy of the wearer. But what make them truly fascinating are the mysteries surrounding these stones.

The wearer apparently experiences unexplainable change of luck in their lives - attracting the good and repelling the bad.

Some time back, I heard the story of a guy who carried the full set of stones. He swore by them and rotated the stone for each month just to stay lucky. Unbelievable!

“How should You wear these birthstones?”

Excellent question!

If you want to maximize the power of these stones, wearing it correctly is the key.

Wear them as ring or pendant. For ring, wear it on the left hand index finger. Avoid the middle finger as traditionally is considered the unlucky finger.

For pendant, you can target it at your throat or heart chakras.

Go for design which allows the stones to directly stay in contact with your skin.

Just like any other crystals, you should cleanse, charge and program your stone before wearing it.

Since ancient times, human beings have tapped into the enormous energy of these stones to ward off evil, gain power or luck, attract wealth and love. Be it for whatever reasons, they understood that hidden within the appealing appearances of these stones are powerful energy that can be harnessed to improve their lives.

If you are open minded, and ready to accept the positive vibrating energy of the stones in your life. Let me introduce you to a great site to get your stones… Unveiled here.

So are birthstones merely another ancient superstition? You are your own judge. For me, my Opal is here to stay…
