Healing with Aromatherapy Oils - The Quick & Easy Ways

Athlete’s Foot
Recipes: 2 drops each of Tagetes, Lavender and Tea Tree
Treatment: Soak feet for 10 minutes in warm water added with essential oils mixture. Dry feet thoroughly after soaking.

Acne
Recipes: 5 drops each of Juniper Berry and Atlas Cedarwood
Treatment: Mix the essential oils with ˝ cup of distill water. Apply to skin using cotton wool at 2 hourly intervals.

Arthritis & Rheumatism
Recipes: 2 drops each of lavender Roman Chamomile & Rosemary and 3 drops each of Eucalyptus & Juniper Treatment: Apply warm compress overnight.

Cold & Flu
Recipes: 2 drops each of Tea tree, Geranium
Treatment: Gargle in the morning and evening once the flu symptom starts.

Diarrhea
Recipes: 3 drops each of Tree Tea and Peppermint, 2 drops each of Geranium and Sandalwood to 30 ml of Jojoba oil.
Treatment: Massage lower abdomen hourly in clockwise direction.

Depression
Recipes: 20 drops of Clary Sage and 10 drops of Rose Otto.
Treatment: Prepare the mixture. Store it in brown bottle. Apply few drops in the morning and night on tissue and inhale.

Dandruff
Recipes: For dry and flaking scalp – Mixture of 2 drops of sandalwood and 5 drops each of Lavender and Geranium with 30 ml of Jojoba Oil.

For Oily and Scaling Scalp – 6 drops of Atlas Cedarwood, 4 drops each of Rosemary and Lemon with 30ml of Jojoba Oil.

Treatment: Apply to scalp leave for 2 hours. Shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Apply this treatment on alternate days. Reduce frequency gradually if condition improves.

If scalp become red and itchy then you may apply the following receipt – 1 drop of Sandalwood, 3 drops of Juniper Berry and 2 drops each of Geranium and Lavender with 15ml of Jojoba oil. Leave it overnight and wash your hair the next day with mild and unscented shampoo.

Eczema
Recipes: 1 drop of Geranium and 2 drops each of Roman chamomile and Lavender.
Treatment: Use cold compress on the affected area.

Insomnia
Recipes: 3 drops of Lavender and 2 drops of Roman Chamomile.
Treatment: Use the inhalation method.

Insect Bites
Recipes: 1 drop each of Lavender and Tea Tree
Treatment: Apply (see application method) hourly till irritation ceases.

Mental Fatigue
Recipes: Few drops of Rosemary
Treatment: Use inhalation method. Keep the tissue close to your body and allow the aroma to continue to work for you.

Migraines and Headaches
Recipes: 2 drops each of Sweet Marjoram, Lavender and peppermint. (Add 1 drop of True Melissa for migraine).
Treatment: Use the inhalation method when symptom starts.

Menstrual Cramp
Recipes: 4 drops each of Clary Sage & Sweet Marjoram and 3 drops of Roman Chamomile.
Treatment: Apply cold compress on lower abdomen.

Mouth Ulcers
Recipes: 1 drop each of Tea Tree, Geranium and Lavender.
Treatment: Gargle 4 times a day.

Minor burns
Recipes: Lavender
Treatment: Hold the burn under running water for 10 minutes. Apply (see application method) the lotion 2 hourly for a full day.

Minor Bruises
Recipes: 15 drops of Sweet Marjoram, 8 drops each of Geranium and Roman Camomile in 30 ml of Jojoba oil.
Treatment: Apply hourly till pain ceases.

Nausea
Recipes: Few drops of Peppermint and Lavender.
Treatment: Use the inhalation method

Sinusitis
Recipes: 2 drops of Eucalyptus and 1 drop each of Peppermint and Lavender.
Treatment: Use the inhalation method.

Sprains
Recipes: 4 drops of Sweet Marjoram & 2 drops of Rosemary.
Treatment: Use cold compress for at least 1 hour.

Throat infections
Recipes: 2 drops each of Lemon and Sandalwood.
Treatment: Gargle at 2 hours interval.
