It’s true that the posture and breathing technique are important, but quite honestly they are just 2 of the steps. What are you missing out then? Read on.
Mastering the meditation technique starts from preparation of your personal meditation sanctuary (This is what you need to do on the outside) to directing what goes inside your head (This is about managing your inner self).

Good you have preserved so far.
Now’s the time to put everything together. Let’s organize and get into the meditation techniques with what you have on hand for your success!
Meditation Technique 1
- Get into any posture (except Sitting on the floor & Lying down).
- Place a single terminal crystal (or a chosen stimulant), just slightly beyond arm length so that it is suited between your eyes level and naval when you are in your posture.
In this posture, you should not feel a strain on your neck when looking down for a long time.
Note: Your chin should be slightly inclined towards your chest but NOT sink into your chest because it will restrict your breathing.
- Close your eyes take a deep breath, hold for a short while and exhale slowly. When you feel sufficiently relax, open your eyes and soften your gaze as you focus on your chosen stimulant.
- Breathe naturally using the technique you have learnt earlier.
- Meditate for a reasonable duration.
- When you are done, return to waking consciousness unhurriedly by counting from ten to one.
- Ground yourself.
Meditation Technique 2
- Get into any posture (except Sitting on the floor & Lying down).
- Breathe naturally using the technique you have learnt earlier.
- Focus on the crystals (or your chosen stimulant).
When you feel that you have retained the crystal in your mind’s eye close your eyes and visualize it glowing and radiating light against darkness.
The color of the light should be the same as the crystal of your choice. For example, if you are using an Amethyst, you should see a purple glow.
- Allow the glow to fill your whole body and feel the positive energy of the crystal. Use creative visualization to do this.
- Meditate for a reasonable duration.
- When you are done, return to waking consciousness unhurriedly by counting from ten to one.
- Ground yourself.
NOTE: In the beginning you may find the image blur and dull fading off quickly. You will need to open your eyes and repeat the process.
Eventually your mental image of the crystal will be clear and sharp and you should be able to retain it for a couple of minutes.
Meditation Technique 3
Also known as the chakras meditation and works on all the seven chakras during meditation.
This is more than just a meditation technique as you can use it for chakra balance and crystal healing.
I have dedicated a page just to talk about this technique. Find out more about chakra meditation.
A very informative page isn’t it? What? Too informative?
You don’t have to be preoccupied with ALL the details right from the beginning. You can always come back for more.
Take home this simple message if you are here for the first time:
Stay Relaxed & Focus Upon Your Chosen Stimulus
Aim to ease yourself into meditative state. Regardless of any technique that you want to adopt, this is a universal step.
What is the meditative state then? Great question!
When you mind is fully attentive to one particular stimulus without any chattering thoughts, you are entering the meditative state.
Through constant practice, relaxation and serenity come readily.
Just do it!
